AWS says the result comes back with built-in explanations and with existing row-level and column-level security enforced, which matters because enterprise data teams do not get to trade trust for convenience.

That combination is what makes the launch noteworthy. Plenty of AI systems can paraphrase data or summarize a chart. Far fewer can translate a question into executable SQL against multi-million-row or even tens-of-millions-of-row environments while preserving the controls that already govern who can see what.
