Corrections and updates

AI News treats material errors as product defects. When a story changes in a meaningful way, that change should be visible to readers.

When we correct

We correct stories when a factual claim is materially inaccurate, misleading, missing important context, or phrased with more certainty than the evidence supports.

How we update

  • Minor copy edits may be made without a note.
  • Material factual updates should be reflected in the article timestamp and, where practical, an explicit note.
  • Significant errors should be corrected clearly rather than silently rewritten.

How to read timestamps

Article pages show both publication timing and the latest update timing so readers can judge how fresh the story is and whether it has materially changed since first publication.

Current limitation

The public article template now links to this policy, but full per-story update logs are still being expanded. Until then, story timestamps and source modules are the main reader-visible signals.
