That is a meaningful shift for enterprise software, where AI features can age quickly and where buyers are already demanding proof that tools behave consistently across environments. Salesforce’s own framing matters here. Jayesh Govindarajan, executive vice president at Salesforce AI, described the company’s customer base as “a wellspring of information” needed to get to customer success. In practice, that means the company is treating the installed base not as a passive audience for launches, but as a continuous source of product signal.

Traditional enterprise roadmaps tend to move on quarterly or annual cycles, with customer feedback filtered through product reviews, account teams, and internal prioritization. Salesforce is tightening that loop. The company says it is meeting some customers weekly and using those conversations to shape AI releases in near real time.
